ChatterBox Christie Does Social Good with #OnStarServes

>> July 25, 2010

In true "BlogRollers" style, our girl ChatterBox Christie is hitting the road on a cross-country "Good Samaritan" road trip to the National Association of Black Journalists Convention in San Diego courtesy of OnStar. OnStar has selected Christie along with five other journalists to drive in fully equipped Buick Enclaves from Atlanta to San Diego stopping in various cities along the way doing some good deeds along the way. Among the projects they will participate in are volunteering at an Alabama food bank, rebuilding homes damaged by Hurricane Katrina in Mississippi, and helping women with Autism who run a community farm come up with unique ideas to sell their produce in local markets.

ChatterBox Christie Becomes Tungle.Me Brand Ambassador

>> June 24, 2010

It's no secret that our girl, The ChatterBox (Christie Crowder) loves a good web tool...especially one that specializes in time management. She recently featured the scheduling tool Tungle.Me on The BlogRollers Blog and on her ChatterBox Show causing many followers and fans to catch her "Tungle fever."

"Tungle.Me is a scheduling application that connects with your existing calendar. It eliminates double-bookings, time zone mishaps, and the back-and-forth of finding a time to meet. You are able to easily schedule meetings inside or outside of your organization and even invite others to schedule with you...without having to sign up!"

Her passion for the platform did not go unnoticed by Tungle Corporation as well as understanding her influence with "blog-preneurs," a unique, and yet untapped group of potential users. Christie is now an extension of the Tungle.Me marketing team and will be implementing an entertaining outreach campaign through October 2010 that kicks off with the first ever "Tungle.Me Tweet Up" for Social Media Day.

A Magical Mom’s Nite Out at the Atlanta Ronald McDonald House®

>> May 13, 2010

Last Thursday we had the privilege of hosting a National Mom’s Nite Out event at the Atlanta Ronald McDonald House® (ARMC) with McDonald's Inspiration Celebration Gospel Tour headliner Regina Belle. Mom’s Nite Out is the first nationally organized celebration of motherhood. Intended to bring together today’s moms, physically and virtually, the event united more than 150 social media groups, companies, local playgroups, mommy bloggers and mother social networks in giving moms a well deserved night off.

After visiting the ARMC in November, we knew we wanted to stay involved with this special place and Mom’s Nite Out was the perfect opportunity. Thanks to the wonderful folks at McDonald’s and Ronald McDonald House Charities® we treated the ARMC to dinner; and the resident moms to a night of pampering and inspiration led by the fabulous Regina Belle. We also invited Atlanta bloggers to come relax, unwind, and lend their smiles to their fellow moms in need of a little break.

The night was absolutely awesome. The energy was positive, free-flowing and definitely inspiring. We ate, we laughed, we cried, we prayed, we chatted, we had the most phenomenal spa treatments from the lovely ladies of Be Beautifully Well, and Regina Belle blessed us with an a capella rendition of her classic “If I Could.”
